The Omen Series 1

Introducing Northern Lutherie's "The Omen" Upright Bass Pickup. Due to the nature of the build we are offering this factory direct exclusive.  All made to order. The chassis and bobbin is made of Carbon Fiber, alloy pole pieces, 44 AWG enameled copper coil wrapped 10,500 times, and Ceramic bar magnets offer excellent tone. These are insulted and potted to avoid microphonics however they are a single coil pickup so some hum will be present when not producing tones. The Omen is secured to the end of the fingerboard using industrial strength Velcro. Pole pieces are adjustable as well. The Magnetic system conjoins at the mono full metal jack, with our modified Blueberry Pi Piezo pickup. What this system offers you is the Natural tone of our Blueberry Pi Balanced with the power of a magnetic system. There is nothing like this on the market. The Omen series is bound to impress even the most discriminant bass enthusiast. The Parity King bass pickup features two 20mm formulated Piezo discs  with noiseless cabling and rugged construction housing the fragile components while allowing them to breath. The Output is natural and strong and these come with a lifetime warranty, (just pay shipping if ever needed) Installation is simple. These are being used worldwide by many professional players. 

Element crown sizes vary and can be custom requested for Low Medum or High. Just ask! 

The Ace of Spades is considered a hybrid installation. It offers 4 sensors one dedicated to each string of your 4 string bass. (We can do more) Same situation just 4 sensors. these are great for slap bass, nylon strings or gut. The elements are secured to the bridge using double sided tape, or superglue. Putty can be used but creates too much of a barrier for proper transfer of tone.

Industral Strength Velcro for secure fit to tailpiece back.

All will be handmade to order. This will assure you that you have extra power and tone at your finger tips. 

The Parity Princess is 2 formulated 12mm highly sensitve piezo discs. These provide an excellent balanced tone, sound natural and have strong output with little feedback due to our design. These are all hand wired in Milwaukee, WI 

This comes with 2 options for jack installation onto the tailpiece, For traditional post style the R Style clip can be used, another option for jack installation we include is Velcro. 

The elements fit between the thigh and the wing of the bridge. 

A unique Banjo pickup that is easy to install and will not leave a lasting footprint modification on your instrument. Due to many outside factors in a banjo's construction from head thickness, tension, rim size, materias, strings we leave placement up to the player or luthier installing the pickup system. While a good general rule is about 1.5cm behind the bridge it's not always the answer. we recommend using something like a tuning fork to find sweet spots, (contact us for other solutions) Simply attach the elements to the head using a medium superglue.
